- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 bell pepper (red or green), chopped
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 4 slices Texas toast
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil and sauté the chopped onions and bell peppers until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned and crumbly, approximately 7 minutes.
- Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Toast the Texas toast slices in another skillet until golden brown on both sides.
- Spoon the beef mixture onto each slice of toasted Texas toast and serve immediately.
