- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (from about 5–6 lemons)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups cold water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 drops pink food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Juice the lemons to obtain 1 cup of fresh lemon juice and strain out seeds or pulp.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water, stirring until dissolved. Allow to cool.
- In a large pitcher, mix the lemon juice with the cooled syrup and add 4 cups of cold water. Adjust sweetness if desired.
- In a mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form; optionally mix in sugar.
- If desired, add pink food coloring to the whipped cream and gently fold to combine.
- Serve lemonade over ice, topped with whipped cream and garnished with lemon slices or mint leaves.
