  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 drops pink food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Juice the lemons to obtain 1 cup of fresh lemon juice and strain out seeds or pulp.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water, stirring until dissolved. Allow to cool.
  3. In a large pitcher, mix the lemon juice with the cooled syrup and add 4 cups of cold water. Adjust sweetness if desired.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form; optionally mix in sugar.
  5. If desired, add pink food coloring to the whipped cream and gently fold to combine.
  6. Serve lemonade over ice, topped with whipped cream and garnished with lemon slices or mint leaves.
