Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent (about 5 minutes).
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup and milk; season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half of the tater tots in the baking dish, followed by half of the beef mixture and half of the cheddar cheese.
- Repeat layers with remaining tater tots, beef mixture, and top with remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
