Instructions

- In another bowl, beat softened butter and cream cheese until smooth; add granulated sugar and mix until fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients while stirring gently.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden; let cool before transferring to wire racks.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.
