- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted and halved
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
- Cut in cold butter and vanilla until the mixture resembles crumbs.
- In another bowl, toss cherries with half the sugar and let sit briefly.
- Press half of the crumble mixture into the bottom of the greased dish, layer with cherries, and top with remaining crumble.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and fragrant. Allow to cool before slicing.
