Instructions
- 1. Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add chicken breasts and coat well. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2. Prepare Tzatziki Sauce: Mix Greek yogurt with grated cucumber (squeeze out excess moisture), minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and dill in a separate bowl. Chill in the fridge.
- 3. Cook the Chicken: Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Grill chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes per side until cooked through. Let rest before slicing thinly against the grain.
- 4. Assemble Your Gyros: Warm pita bread slightly on the grill or skillet. Layer sliced chicken on one side of the pita and top with diced cucumber, chopped tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce. Wrap tightly and enjoy.
